                             RESOLUTION NO.   21041 
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING BOUNDARY LINES OF
                  THE CENTRAL BUSINESS ZONE.
                           ___________________________
                 
                 
                 
       	    	 WHEREAS, the Central Business Zone (CBZ), previously
       known as the Central Business District (CBD), has been defined
       only by unofficial policy; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, the C-3 Zone is intended only for areas within
       the boundaries of the CBZ; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, there are requests for C-3 zoning of properties
       which are located outside of what has always been considered to 
be
       the boundary of the CBZ by unofficial policy; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, there is a need to officially determine and
       establish the boundaries of the CBZ;
                                NOW, THEREFORE,
       	    BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, That the Central Business Zone (CBZ) be established
       as shown on the attached map and that only those properties 
within
       the CBZ be eligible for C-3 zoning.
